UGC, Ratings & Reviews on Websites

Leading the implementation of User Generated Content solutions for global brands

About

As a Project Manager at Bazaarvoice, I led the implementation of the company's User Generated Content (UGC) platform for major global clients. UGC is a powerful tool for e-commerce, as it provides authentic customer testimonials, reviews, and social content that significantly impacts purchasing decisions.

I've worked with over 250 brands, including Air Wick, Bearpaw Shoes, Coca-Cola, Daring Foods, Dulcolax, e.l.f. Cosmetics, Fabletics, Goody Hair, Harley-Davidson, Jimmy Dean, Keurig, Kohl’s, Lay’s, Miracle-Gro, Nature's One, NYP Holdings, Party City Canada, QVC, Savage X Fenty, Shoe Carnival, Snapdragon, Tazo, Stok, True Religion, Wet n Wild, White Claw Zero, Whirlpool, 10 Chattem brands, and 22 P&G brands.

The implementation process involved:

  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to integrate Bazaarvoice's APIs and widgets into client websites
  • Managing client expectations and requirements throughout the implementation process
  • Creating scalable processes for onboarding new clients and ensuring successful platform adoption
  • Maintaining detailed documentation and tracking systems in JIRA, Slack, and Confluence
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring smooth deployment

Through systematic process improvements and careful project management, we were able to reduce production errors by 10%, cut operational costs by 20%, and contribute approximately $2 million in revenue growth for Bazaarvoice.

Implementation Examples

Michael Kors

Partnered with Michael Kors on two major initiatives—first to launch UGC across their site, and later to lead a full redesign a year later. Maintained continuity with the same point of contact while onboarding a new technical team for the second phase. Introduced a Gantt chart-driven workflow to align with the client's sprint cycles and strict deadlines, ensuring a smooth rollout and on-time launch.

Social Content Example
Cortizone

Led a multi-phase project for C-10, starting with the rollout of user-generated content and followed by a full redesign. Despite early delays caused by extended legal reviews and the challenge of aligning 22 individual brands, close collaboration across the account, technical, and QA teams helped us overcome obstacles. Thanks to this collective effort, we successfully launched ahead of all other P&G brands—setting the standard for what followed.
